Vendor Access Update
Willis Marti, Director, Networking and Chief Information Security Officer discussed the
Vendor Access Standard Administrative Procedure. The current version of this policy is dated 2005 and a 2009 version will be available soon. The policy requires that vendors agree to protect Texas A&M's confidential data.
PGP Procurement
Willis Marti then discussed the procurement of PGP whole disk encryption software. Licenses for this software will be available soon. While PGP is not required, encryption is required for portable devices such as laptops and flash drives that contain confidential information. Training sessions on PGP are being scheduled, and 24-hour support from PGP will be available.
Mail Relay Update
Tom Golson, Chief Systems Engineer in Infrastructure Services, presented an update on Mail handling. He began with an overview of the Mail Relay system at Texas A&M including previous and updated hardware and software. He then described the benefits of the new SenderBase reputation system and some details on the quarantine feature. He concluded his presentation with a few reminders about CAS3 authentication and the Enterprise Directory.
Identity Management Panel Discussion
The five member panel of Andy Bland, Cheryl Cato, Carl McKneely, Susan Neitsch and DeAnna White answered questions regarding Identity Management. Questions included:

- What are the next steps in Texas A&M's identity management initiative?
